Cartoon Animation and Manga workshops @ SLQ

The State Library of Queensland is running Cartoon, Animation and Manga Workshops these school holidays 18-21 April 2011.

So if you want to learn the art of visual storytelling then you should visit their site for more information. Just click on the hyperlink above. There are also some brochures stuck to the graphic novels bookshelves in the library. Take a moment to read them.

Congratulations to Homan and Melinda for being the first people to submit their words on the "Your Book Reviews" and the "Your Creative Writing" pages. We look forward to receiving many more in the future. Visit the pages to see what they’ve written.

And remember, if you like to write, check out the writing competitions listed on the writing competitions page.

We currently have a display of all things vintage in the library. Take a look at the books on display featuring classic cars and fashion and let us know if you would like to borrow them. We also have a display of the colourful cars sculpted from clay by the year 7 art class. Check out the pics in the side bar on the right.
